I'm afraid I haven't discovered anything new. Millions and millions of Muslims must have sensed it before. They all felt the real cause of honor killings. But I developed a rational model for these half-conscious suspicions. So, see it this way, I provide a rational model in the conscious for what others already must have felt subconsciously for ages.
What I'm going to tell must have been well known by Muslim scholars, 1400 years ago. From then on this knowledge has faded away into the unconscious of Muslim believers. Maybe now it's the right time for this blog, maybe not. We'll see.
Muslim scholars must have known that the horror of the Muslim faith was the deliberate compression of two opposite beliefs into one faith: reincarnation and resurrection. They knew the ancient inbreeding instinct leading to reincarnation was unbeatable. And their enforced resurrection in heaven was a powerless surrogate, but anyway dictated ex cathedra. This made honor killings the footprint, the benchmark of this gruesome amalgamation.
Islamic scholars willfully must have created this schizophrenic mess, leading to fear, hatred and retribution, rendering them the power over a frightened people. Even after centuries in which honor killings became a growing disaster they did not relax their resurrection doctrine, but still enforced it ex cathedra. Because this horror suited their power over a frightened people. That makes Islam completely guilty of honor killings.
But soon the controlling power over women is over in Islam. They are becoming more educated than men, have cell phones and social media at their disposal and are becoming totally uncontrollable, while networking outside their old fossilized society. Then, this combined religion, the Muslim faith, will fall apart into 4 sub-religions, see this blog. So, If Islam wants to save some of its hegemony about the Muslim group, probably only in name, they better relax the resurrection principle in the first place and be as wise as following the Myth of Abraham, see this blog.
So, the reason that Islam is enforced on the people is there was another religion earlier, reincarnation, which was much stronger than resurrection, which was unbeatable and had to be controlled with all strength:
It was a brilliant idea to harass and take hostage the reincarnation belief of a people in their unconscious, BTW. As long as Muslims don't realize their prisonership into their own unconscious, trapped into a Gordian knot from opposing religions, which plagues them with fear, distrust and sadism, they will never awake and shall evolve further down the road into total desperation. In fact Muslims are mentally devastated by Islam.
To clarify this model, I offer the most parsimonious and heuristic religious model in the world, combining honor killings with human religion. It is not kinda religion but a rational theory, falsifiable in the universe. And it is easily understood.
A model in which Human Religion (HR) is based on Sexual Religion (SR) and in which HR is a function of SR: HR = f(SR), which hypothesis will not easily be falsified, because f is based on magical thinking. This theory aims to give new foundations to all Human Religions (SR) in past and future.
This theory is based on about 500 contiguous and non-conflicting assumptions, in which Human Religion (HR) is derived from Animal Sexuality (SR) starting with mammals living in groups together from about 20 million years ago. This Basic Dimension (SR) has inbreeding and outbreeding as extremes.

And guess what, this ancient instinct, this belief in reincarnation is much stronger than nowadays enforced belief in resurrection. But the problem is reincarnation has dived into the unconscious, whereas resurrection is conscious. This means, Muslims lost track on reincarnation.

In history, Muslims are forced - on pain of death - to believe in resurrection in heaven from Allah in the parallel universe. So, believing in earthly reincarnation meant the death penalty in the last 1400 years. This means, Muslim fathers must have suppressed reincarnation as reason for cousin marriages in their unconscious and have fallen back, have regressed to the earlier ground for cousin marriages called 'honor of the family'.
The link between earthly reincarnation and cousin marriages is broken
So, the conclusion must be the link between earthly reincarnation and cousin marriage is broken in the conscious of Muslim fathers, but also in the minds of their daughters, who don't see any reason for being family semen incubator any longer. All honor killings because of pregnancy, abortion*, adultery, Western lifestyle, rape, refusal from cousin marriage, etc, have the same ground: Muslim fathers unconsciously, panically fear to reincarnate into offspring with mixed, hybrid genes. Because then, after their next death they are not pure tribal members any longer and will not be allowed to reincarnate into their own tribe again. But remember, they don't realize the reason of their panic fear, they think it's because of 'honor of the family', whatever that may be:
* Abortion means an ancestor has already been killed and possibly had first become a hybrid. This definitely deserves the death penalty.
Some further remarks
A second remark is that total inbreeding is impossible and families make assessments that bears their approval. They can choose partners in whose descendants they don't object to reincarnate, usually persons from the same ethnicity. And they may also sell their daughters if they have little trouble with the inbreeding instinct.
A third remark is that a billion Muslims are not authentic Arab or Asian Muslims. Pakistani are original Muslims with the inbreeding instinct inherited (mtDNA L3M). But Boko Haram (mtDNA L2), captured 200 juvenile females lately from other tribes for breeding. That's outbreeding, since they originally came from outbreeding cultures. They do not have the inbreeding instinct inherited either.
The fourth remark is groundbreaking. Here we assume and have the premise that the postulated inbreeding instinct is inheritable, unless inbred populations merge with outbred peoples, on which the inbreeding instinct dilutes. Without this proposition honor killings cannot be explained rationally. But with this assumption the whole honor killing puzzle falls into place. So, you can choose. I have thought about this very well and many articles on this blog are about this inbreeding instinct:

Furthermore, honor killers are usually in a psychotic delusional mood, in which the unconscious steers their behavior beyond their conscious will. Therefore, they will disagree with this explanation and see themselves as quite normal. But themselves, they have no explanation for their behavior, except that ridiculous 'honor of the family', meaning they have none. They really don't know what they are doing, they are acting instinctively. They might see themselves as quite normal, what underlines their sickness.
A fight on life and death
So, what happens is simply a fight on life and death between the father and his daughter. If she refuses this cousin marriage, he will be lost forever as a ghost in the universe.
