In this case there are so many indications of honor killing that it seems absurd to call this a false positive. So I primarily assume honor killing. But women do not commit honor killings. Then, according to my theory there must have been a man in the house who killed Mirjam. One possible scenario is that he was in the kitchen and intercepted a ping message on Mirjam's phone. The message came from a Dutch boyfriend of Colombian descent. He then flew into a rage and grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer and premeditatedly ran up the stairs and stabbed Mirjam in the heart. This scenario would be in line with the honor killing theory for which only unbalanced males are eligible (e.g. Dissociative Identity Disorder, DID) .
But in that case, the mother was wrongly convicted of murder in an honor killing, which could indicate a miscarriage of justice. Anyway, it depends on the scenario in the investigation report what actually happened here, where the investigation itself can also raise some questions.
