Human religion must have been developed by Homo sapiens (1450cc)
At the time of Homo erectus (2.2 Mya; 900cc), there were only 26,000 bipedal primates worldwide. There were no large communities yet and the embarrassment of animal religion from the amygdala was not part of the diplomatic concours.
Further, Homo erectus had a varied genome and was highly resistant to inbreeding. Therefore, 'reincarnation through inbreeding' was not an abnormal or objectionable phenomenon in those days and animal religion was the only religion.
But that changed with Homo sapiens (350 Ka; 1450cc) who was equipped with a completely depleted genome such that all people in the world today have DNA from about the same family.
Since inbreeding now posed a threat to the survival of the species and 'reincarnation through inbreeding' was seen as the ultimate exaggeration, the Abrahamic religions decided to falsify the myth of Abraham. They went from 'reincarnation through inbreeding' to 'resurrection with outbreeding', although variations on this were still possible in the Middle East and North Africa.
To save the species, Homo sapiens turned en masse to outbreeding (resurrection). And diplomacy was desperately needed, because crossbreeding among Homo sapiens led to a massive increase in human numbers. With the debunking of animal religion (sexuality and reproduction), the official language of diplomacy was transformed into human religion (no sexuality and no reproduction).
Resurrection in the parallel universe became the diplomatic norm of Desert Religions, which, incidentally, had yet other reasons to believe in alien gods from the stars.
And so the Egyptians, the Mesopotamians, and later the Jews, the Christians, and even Muslims adopted this diplomatic model of human religion, which allowed them to engage in civilized discussions without directly bashing each other's brains in.
But only simple citizens really believed in human religion and throughout history they were always amazed again at how quickly civilized human religion could turn into the outright murderous lust of animal religion from the amygdala:

Desert religions are therefore the hypocritical double bottom of sexuality, packaged as 'religion'. Abrahamic religions are murderous organizations that fight each other to the death under the guise of humanity. The world is drowned in evidence, of which honor killings are the most heinous and have thus served as a crowbar in human religion.
Honor killings offer us a direct glimpse into the horrors of the amygdala. The shame over the horrific murder of Ryan all Najjar is the shame over our own amygdala, but also over "human religion" with which we deceive the minds of our children.
